Dr. Wan-Yu Liu is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Forestry at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from the Chinese Land Economics Research Institute, the Rural Economics Society of Taiwan, and the Taiwan Society of Rural Development Planning. Over the course of her career, Dr. Liu has delivered more than 100 invited lectures and keynote speeches across 10 countries, establishing her as a leading voice in her field. She has published over 100 scholarly works, including more than 40 papers in SCI-ranked journals, as well as contributions to academic books and conference proceedings.

Dr. Liu's research interests span forest policy and economics, forest and farm tourism, environmental economics and modeling, greenhouse gas reduction policy evaluation, and sustainable forest management. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates rigorous economic analysis with practical forest management applications to address pressing environmental challenges.

Dr. Liu's work bridges the gap between theoretical research and practical application, contributing significantly to forest conservation and sustainable development. Her dedication to advancing forest policy, environmental modeling, and tourism economics has made her a key contributor to Taiwan's environmental initiatives and an internationally respected scholar.
